Pensana’s Longonjo project marks significant progress with key orders and site preparations advancing under the guidance of Project Manager Kevin Botha. The project, heading towards a major construction phase in May 2024, aims for cold commissioning by August 2025.
Pensana has placed a US$2.3 million order with NCP International for a ball mill essential for the concentrator plant, ensuring timely delivery and setup. Additionally, the construction of a 316-person modular camp, manufactured in South Africa, is set for deployment to the site this March, signaling readiness for the forthcoming construction peak.
With a focus on meticulous planning, Pensana has completed the detailed design and procurement documentation for critical path items, including thickeners and flotation columns for the concentrator section.
