Likewise strengthens UK presence with South West expansion

Likewise Group has taken a major step in solidifying its position as a leading flooring distributor across the UK. The company has acquired a new logistics centre in Ivybridge, near Plymouth, in a strategic move worth £1.15 million, further enhancing its nationwide reach and operational capacity.

This acquisition increases Likewise Property Group’s total logistics space to an impressive 15 million cubic feet and expands its freehold portfolio to £23.15 million. The investment, funded entirely through internal cash reserves, not only establishes Likewise South West but also bolsters the growth of Valley Wholesale Carpets, enabling stronger business relationships across Devon and Cornwall.

Likewise has had a robust start to 2025, reporting an 8.4 per cent increase in total sales revenue in January. Likewise-branded businesses have performed even better, posting a 13.6 per cent rise, reflecting strong market demand and strategic execution.

Chief Executive Tony Brewer expressed confidence in the group’s trajectory, emphasising that the Plymouth investment completes the company’s UK-wide coverage while further strengthening its financial standing. He highlighted that the momentum gained in the latter half of 2024 has carried into 2025, reinforcing confidence in achieving the company’s medium-term objectives.

Likewise Group PLC (LON:LIKE) is a distributor of floorcoverings and matting and has the opportunity to consolidate the domestic and commercial floorcovering markets to become one of the UK’s largest distributors in this sector.
