Alien Metals updates on exploration activities at Pinderi Hills

Alien Metals has this week shared an update following an independent review by Resource Potentials Pty Ltd. This update covers recent activities and future exploration plans for the company’s wholly owned Pinderi Hills silver and precious metals project in Western Australia, as well as the Hancock Iron Ore Project.

Situated in the West Pilbara’s renowned mining region, the Pinderi Hills Project spans 180 square kilometres. It boasts a unique mix of platinum group metals (PGM) and gold (Au) linked to the Munni Munni Intrusive Complex, the historic Elizabeth Hill silver (Ag) mine, and various nickel-copper (Ni-Cu) and lithium (Li) exploration targets.

The project’s current resource estimates, as previously announced, include Munni Munni (JORC 2004): 24Mt @ 2.9g/t PGM and gold, totalling 2.2Moz PGM1 and Elizabeth Hill (pre-JORC): 46.8kt @ 2,700g/t Ag, amounting to 4.05Moz Ag2.

Following the reverse circulation drilling program completed by Alien Metals in November 2022, the company is optimistic about significantly expanding the Pinderi Hills resources. There is potential for it to become a Tier 1 Precious Metals and Ni-Cu project. The Australian Government-backed Geoscience Australia 2016 report underscores the Munni Munni Intrusive Complex as a high-priority area for a world-class ultramafic hosted Ni-Cu-PGE sulphide deposit, further validating the company’s planned activities.

The project is strategically located 50km south of Karratha, a major regional city and mining hub with comprehensive support infrastructure, including an airport, essential for exploration and mining operations in this promising region.

Following an independent review by Dr. Jayson Meyers, Principal Consultant and Director of Resource Potentials, Alien Metals intends to expedite exploration and potentially increase the resource base while discovering new deposits. Dr. Meyers, who has been involved in numerous discoveries in Western Australia, reviewed the project. The company plans to initiate exploration activities in Q3 2024, starting with soil geochemical surveys over the main Ni-Cu target areas and Judy’s Reef PGM trends.

Robert Mosig, Alien Metals Technical Director, remarked:

“Following Resource Potentials’ review of Pinderi Hills, including promising silver, base, and precious metals drilling results from Elizabeth Hills (AIM: 20 February 2023), the company has accelerated plans to develop the Elizabeth Hills Silver Mine. Additionally, we aim to further understand base metals deposits as we explore new opportunities in the area. The recent history of the region has not been extensively explored, so we are excited to announce our plans for the next phase of exploration based on the review and our previous drilling program.

“With our recently announced strategic lithium joint venture with Errawarra Resources (ASX: ERW), Alien Metals can strategically focus on its precious and base metals targets at Pinderi Hills.”

Alien Metals Ltd (LON:UFO) is a global minerals exploration and development company that will shortly make the transition to iron ore producer. The company was formed from Arian Silver in late 2018, retaining some of the companies more valuable Mexican projects before embarking on an acquisition led strategy, headed up by an excellent geological team and targeted entirely on Western Australia.
