Amino Technologies expands deployment with Kabelnoord to launch streaming applications for Smart TVs

Amino Technologies plc (LON:AMO), a software-led global media technology company that delivers modern TV experiences, has announced that 24i has expanded its deployment with Kabelnoord, a leading provider of Pay TV and fiber to the home in the Netherlands, to launch streaming applications for Smart TVs.

Kablenoord’s decision to launch additional digital services enabled by 24i’s software reflects the deep and highly successful deployment of 24i’s end-to-end solution in 2018. This partnership has rapidly delivered high demand digital services to Kablenoord’s customers including live TV, pause, restart and catch up functionality.

Adding to this partnership by implementing 24i’s pre-integrated white label and backend software Kabelnoord means that customers will now be able to watch over-the-top (OTT) internet content on Smart TVs without needing any additional hardware.

Wybren Lieuwes, System & Network Architect at Kabelnoord, said:

“As the market shifts to OTT, we want to ensure that our customers enjoy cutting-edge interactive TV experiences, 24i has been an invaluable partner in our journey. Having previously deployed a multi-vendor solution, we were very aware of the integration and other challenges of that model. The 24i end-to-end solution has helped us launch modern TV services while benefiting from one point of contact and avoiding the headache of multi-vendor solutions. We are pleased to be continuing our partnership with 24i to add to our OTT offering. When it comes to OTT services, it’s important to find the right partner and 24i is definitely the right fit for us.”

Donald McGarva, Chief Executive Officer of Amino Technologies plc, said:

“24i is deeply embedded within Kablenoord’s digital offering, providing a truly end-to-end software service that has been highly successful since deployment in 2018. We pride ourselves on delivering the best digital experience possible for our customers and their viewers. This additional Smart TV functionality that 24i has enabled Kablenoord to launch in record time and efficient cost is emblematic of the benefits of our software led business model We provide the agility and technical expertise for operators to thrive in an increasingly digital world.”
