DG Innovate welcomes ex-Tesla engineer as Chief Technical Officer

DG Innovate, a company at the forefront of research and development in sustainable mobility and energy storage, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Pierre Pellerey as Chief Technical Officer (CTO). Although this is a non-board position, it marks a significant addition to the company’s leadership.

Previously, Pierre served as a consultant to DG Innovate, a role he assumed on 3 May 2024. With a PhD in electrical and mechanical engineering, Pierre brings over 15 years of experience in the design, optimisation, and testing of electric motors and drive systems, from conception to production. His impressive portfolio includes motor designs found in over three million electric vehicles, ten million home appliances, and 100,000 micro-mobility solutions. Notably, Pierre played a crucial role in the development of the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S Plaid, and Semi motors. He also contributed significantly to Dyson’s V10 motor design during his three-year tenure with the company.

Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen, CEO of DG Innovate, expressed his enthusiasm about Pierre’s new role, highlighting the added value Pierre has brought to the company since his consultancy appointment. Peter believes that Pierre’s new position as CTO will significantly boost DG Innovate’s efforts to accelerate the production of their Pareta® electric drives, promising a world-class product. He emphasised that Pierre’s expertise and groundbreaking motor designs will ensure that DG Innovate’s products stand out in the market, poised to make substantial advancements in the industry.
