From the demise of intu and the Broadmarsh Centre to the collapse of Robin Hood Energy, Nottingham and its city council have been plagued by a spate of failed visions and controversies of late. However, from the ashes, brighter ideas could well rise. Reporter Joseph Locker speaks to Sajeeda Rose, the council’s new director of growth and city development, about how she hopes to tap into that.
“I hope Nottingham will [become] a vibrant city that celebrates the cultural diversity that it has,” Ms Rose.
“I think Nottingham has got huge potential. Look at the fact there has been lots of private investment. Look at the Island Quarter and how HMRC are moving in, that shows you there is confidence….”
