Innovative motor powers ahead with Joint Development Agreement

DG Innovate, a company known for its cutting-edge research in sustainable mobility and energy storage, has rapidly developed a new motor prototype utilising its unique Pareta® electric drive system. This achievement follows a Joint Development Agreement signed in January with a top-tier commercial vehicle components company to develop systems for heavy goods vehicle applications.

The swift creation of this custom motor in just six months highlights the expertise and ambition of DG Innovate, now led by former Tesla executives and bolstered by a team of ex-Tesla motor specialists. The company has already received promising preliminary feedback from its commercial partner. At a time when the UK Government is keen on promoting growth, this project illustrates the potential to leverage the country’s engineering heritage with renewed momentum and private sector investment.

The Pareta® system offers a simpler, lighter, and more cost-effective solution for various applications, catering to new generation electric and hybrid heavy goods vehicles as well as those still powered by internal combustion engines. It is designed to be robust, fit into existing spaces, and provide rapid, appropriate force. The system’s built-in processing power and intelligence endow each application with additional functionality, making it a powerful intelligent subsystem on its own.

Peter Bardenfleth-Hansen, CEO of DG Innovate, commented on the achievement, stating that upon taking over the company seven months ago, he and his colleagues immediately began implementing the culture experienced at Tesla. Despite the challenges of transitioning from R&D to volume production, the team of ex-Tesla engineers has made significant progress thanks to their world-class expertise, unlocking substantial growth opportunities linked to the green transition. The successful delivery of their latest prototype is a solid testament to their efforts.

The prototype is set to undergo further testing and vehicle trials in the latter half of the year. Additional details regarding the Agreement and the prototype will be disclosed to the market in the near future.

DG Innovate’s rapid development of the new motor prototype and the promising initial feedback from their commercial partner underscore the company’s potential to drive significant advancements in sustainable mobility solutions.
