Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has confirmed that it will open a dual-branded property in the latest plans for Nottingham’s multi-million-pound Island Quarter development.
Plans have been submitted to Nottingham City Council for the development, which is located on a 40-acre derelict site close to the city centre. Developers Conygar hope that the regeneration scheme will “raise the profile of Nottingham” and “create a lasting legacy and community” for the city.
The 17-storey dual-branded hotel will comprise 223 rooms and suites – 155 will be located within IHG’s upscale brand Hotel Indigo, and a further 68 in the Staybridge Suites extended-stay brand.
Conygar Investment Company PLC (LON:CIC) is an AIM quoted property investment and development group dealing primarily in UK property.
