Stocks helping Africa become world’s largest graphite producer

Africa is close to usurping China’s crown as the world’s largest graphite producer, with Aussie firms looming as a power behind the throne.

It’s a big realm.

Graphite is the single, largest component by weight in lithium-ion batteries, with electric vehicles requiring about 55kg of flake graphite for the anode – the negative electrode responsible for storing and releasing electrons during the charging and discharging process.
