Tees Valley Lithium advances supply negotiations with Britishvolt

Tees Valley Lithium (TVL) is advancing supply negotiations with Recharge Industries, following its acquisition of collapsed battery company Britishvolt. TVL had previously entered into a MOU with Recharge to supply it with lithium hydroxide.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Alkemy Capital Investments, Tees Valley Lithium is behind plans for a lithium hydroxide processing facility at Wilton International. Once operational, the plant is expected to create up to 500 high-value full time jobs.

Battery firm Recharge Industries acquired Britishvolt earlier this week in a deal set to make the UK’s first gigafactory a reality.

Alkemy Capital Investments plc (LON:ALK, FRA: JV2) is focussed on developing projects in the energy transition metals sector. Alkemy’s wholly-owned subsidiary Tees Valley Lithium (TVL) is developing a state of the art lithium hydroxide plant at Teesside, UK. TVL is Europe’s largest independent and sustainable lithium hydroxide producer.
