Touchstone Exploration Inc, the Calgary-based oil and gas company with a primary focus on Trinidad and Tobago, has successfully completed its program of five production test intervals at the Royston-1X well.
The Royston-1X well, in which Touchstone holds an 80% operating interest, has undergone comprehensive testing procedures, marking a systematic approach to evaluating its potential. While the well is currently shut-in, the company is eagerly awaiting the arrival of a service rig. Once the rig is in place, Touchstone said it will be used to initiate pumping operations, thereby reducing the hydrostatic pressure on the reservoir and enabling further testing. Touchstone anticipates that this step will lead to increased production rates as the formation fluid is allowed to flow more freely.
