Touchstone prepares for Exploration and Development with production test at Cascadura-2 well

Calgary-based independent Touchstone Exploration is gearing up exploration and development in Trinidad & Tobago, beginning with a production test at its newly drilled well, Cascadura-2, which is scheduled for the third quarter.

The results of the Cascadura-2 well will enable the company to craft a multi-year drilling programme aimed at comprehensive structure development even though additional drilling is warranted for further delineation of the structure.

This initiative will soon be followed by the launch of a new campaign comprising three wells.

Cascadura-2 was drilled to a depth of 7132 feet, short of the targeted 8300 feet. This move was deliberate to preserve the extensive pay section observed in the well, particularly after encountering high-pressure gas zones, noted Touchstone.

Touchstone Exploration Inc (LON:TXP) is a Canadian-based, international upstream oil and gas company currently active in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Primera Oil and Gas is the Trinidadian subsidiary of Touchstone.
