Trinidad hydrocarbons output

Hydrocarbons data just released by Trinidad and Tobago’s government reveals the challenge the country faces to break its production stalemate.

Energy ministry information shows that output of natural gas in the first half of 2023 averaged 2.64Bf3/d (billion cubic feet) compared to 2.69Bf3/d for all last year.

BPTT was the principal gas contributor in 1H23 with 1.19Bf3/d, followed by Shell (750Mf3), Woodside Energy (338Mf3/d) and EOG Resources (266Mf3/d).

The balance came from DeNovo Energy, Heritage Petroleum, Perenco and Touchstone Exploration.
