The UK Chamber of Shipping has reported that its new programme Making Waves: The Future of Shipping, ‘shines a spotlight’ on the efforts already underway on decarbonisation and ‘sends a clear call for continued ambitious action’.
Launched at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) during London International Shipping Week (LISW) 2021, the programme looks at alternative fuels and new technologies, and ‘gives voice to those calling for increased regulation in order to deliver a sustainable future’.
Presented by Rob Bell, the full programme comprises several short feature films from participants ABS, Artemis Technologies, Bibby Marine, BMT Group, DNV Maritime, EPSRC, HFW, IMO, Lean Marine, Lloyds Register, MarRI-UK, Newcastle University, Norton Rose Fulbright, Quadrise Fuels International, The Sustainable Shipping Initiative, Trafigura, Wärtsilä Marine, Windship Technology, and Windward.
