Valeura successfully completes infill drilling campaign at Jasmine Field

Valeura Energy Inc. has completed a successful infill drilling campaign at its Jasmine field, located in the Gulf of Thailand. The program consisted of five wells, including two infill development wells on the Jasmine A platform, finished in September 2024, and three recent infill wells on the Jasmine D platform. All of these wells have been successfully brought online as producers, and they also appraised several additional reservoir intervals.

The JSD-42 well, targeting the 250 sand reservoir, was drilled at the crest of the structure. It has been completed as a producer within this zone and is producing oil in line with expectations. The well also evaluated several secondary appraisal targets, resulting in five additional zones being prepared for future production. Furthermore, it encountered several more oil-bearing intervals, which may be considered for further drilling in the future.

Meanwhile, the JSD-41H and JSD-43H wells were drilled horizontally within the 680-1 sand reservoir. These wells aimed to improve oil recovery from an already-producing interval, with both wells geosteered to cover horizontal distances of over 2,000 feet. These wells encountered 100% net sand, indicating their potential for further production.

With all five wells now online, the average oil production from the field reached 9,801 barrels per day (b/d) from November 19 to 25, 2024. This represents a 26% increase from the production rates of 7,764 b/d observed just before the new wells began production in September 2024.

Following the completion of the Jasmine D drilling program, Valeura’s contracted drilling rig has moved to the Manora field on License G1/48. There, it has commenced operations on a new five-well infill drilling campaign, which includes three production-oriented wells and two appraisal wells.

Valeura Energy holds a 100% operated working interest in License B5/27.
