Vipera plc sign up leading French Bank

Vipera plc (LON:VIP), the specialist digital financial services provider and Les Comptoirs, France’s leading financial digital agency, have told DirectorsTalk about their first French customer. This exciting development follows the recent conclusion of a non-exclusive product and marketing agreement whereby Les Comptoirs will promote and support Vipera’s leading edge mobile innovation platform MOTIF to the French market.

The French Bank has licenced the MOTIF platform to assist in the fast-to-market development of mobile financialservices applications.

Financial institutions which are keen to innovate in a rapid and customer focused way are increasingly finding that MOTIF gives them the flexibility, control and creative scope to quickly develop and test new mobile financial concepts and customer engagement tools.

MOTIF is a highly scalable, modular, open software platform – designed for the easy plugging in and un-plugging of 3rd party services. With its established ‘connectors’ into a wide range of payment and banking systems as well as both Visa and MasterCard scheme networks, MOTIF acts as a “fintegration” layer between the safe and secure banking ecosystems and the sometimes less stable FinTech services. By plugging MOTIF into its legacy systems, a bank has a quick and easy way to connect to a range of 3rd party services, without risking the security or integrity of its core systems.

The future landscape will require banks to rapidly test, deploy or potentially retire a range of in-house and 3rd party services, and without a “fintegration” enabler this will be a very time consuming and potentially risky proposition. MOTIF is designed specifically to allow for rapid connection and deployment of services in a secure and controlled environment.

“I am delighted to see that so early into our partnership we have already secured our first customer in France.” said Marco Casartelli, CEO of Vipera.

“The Bank’s innovation department will benefit from the very latest in mobile financial services developments as we combine the MOTIF platform with our expertise to help the Bank innovate quickly and effectively” said Noël Cambessédès Founder of Les Comptoirs.

The objective is that Vipera platform will help Les Comptoirs innovation team to deliver regularly new POCs each month to enable their motivation department to test new functionalities and customer’s behaviours and reactions.

Les Comptoirs and Vipera have common goals to deploy MOTIF platform to several banking Institutions through the globe to help develop “first-in-class” digital banking solutions. Both partners are convinced that their approach will accelerate the digital transformation of mature banking Institutions as well as private bankers and smaller players to be still part of the game.
