Few destinations have seen stronger growth over the last four years than Barbados, an island that has long been one of the Caribbean’s Meccas of elegance, luxury and charm. Much of that growth has been thanks to the stewardship of William Griffith, the CEO of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc, which markets Barbados to the world. And a particular success has been the United States market, which has seen remarkable growth so far this year. To learn more about what is driving Barbados’ impressive tourism performance, Caribbean Journal caught up with Griffith at the Cin Cin restaurant on the island’s iconic Platinum Coast.
