Tirupati announced in August the acquisition of two graphite projects in Mozambique, thanks to the takeover of Suni Resources, but only one of the two, Montepuez, had so far a mining permit.
The British group Tirupati Graphite announced on November 10 that it had obtained a mining license for the Balama Central graphite project. While the feasibility study is based on an annual production of 58,000 tonnes, the company indicates that the Mozambican government has granted the permit on the basis of production of 50,000 tonnes of graphite per year.
Tirupati Graphite PLC (LON:TGR) is a fully integrated specialist graphite and graphene producer, with operations in Madagascar and India, with a vision of developing a world-leading benchmark flake graphite company.
