Samsung Electronics Co. has been in uphill court battle with U.K.-based nanotechnology developer Nanoco Technologies Ltd. in the United States and may have to pay hefty royalty to sell TVs on its signature QLED technology if it loses the patent dispute.
According to research firm United Patents on Wednesday, the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) has recently ruled in favor of Nanoco in a patent invalidation trial raised by Samsung Electronics against the British company.
