Nanoco accelerates commercial momentum with key industry showcases

Nanoco Group PLC is making decisive moves to scale production and drive commercial adoption of its cutting-edge quantum dot technology. As a leader in cadmium-free quantum dots and advanced nanomaterials, the company is seizing opportunities to demonstrate its innovations at major industry events, reinforcing its role in shaping the future of display and imaging technologies.

Over the coming months, Nanoco is set to engage with leading industry players at crucial conferences. In March, Founder and CTO Dr Nigel Pickett will speak at the Society for Information Display (SID) UK Chapter meeting in London. His presentation, “Molecular Seeding Technology for Display Applications and Beyond,” will explore how Nanoco’s proprietary technology enhances micro-LED and other displays, making them more energy-efficient and cost-effective. With the industry demanding ever-brighter and more power-efficient screens, Nanoco’s solutions are poised to accelerate commercial adoption.

Later in March, Nanoco will be both a sponsor and an active participant at Image Sensors Europe, a premier event for vision technology professionals. Here, the company will highlight the transformative potential of its quantum dot-based imaging solutions, engaging with key stakeholders to drive forward industry adoption.

April sees Nanoco presenting its latest advancements at the SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing conference in Orlando, Florida. Its presentation, “Molecular Seeding Technology: Enabling Sensing Applications of the Future,” will showcase how the company’s breakthrough in high-volume quantum dot production is making high-performance infrared image sensors more accessible. As demand for these sensors surges, Nanoco is strategically positioning itself as an essential player in this rapidly evolving sector.

Dr Nigel Pickett emphasised the significance of Nanoco’s molecular seeding technology, describing it as the foundation for scalable quantum dot production. He highlighted its proven success in display applications and its growing impact in sensing applications, where Nanoco has the largest product portfolio.

CEO Dr Dmitry Shashkov underscored the company’s commercial focus, noting that these industry engagements are more than just technology showcases—they are critical for fostering relationships that will drive mass adoption of quantum dot image sensors. With low-cost, wafer-scale production on the horizon, Nanoco is set to make quantum dot-enabled sensors a mainstream reality across consumer electronics, automotive, industrial, and defense sectors.

Nanoco Group PLC (LON:NANO) leads the world in the research, development and large-scale manufacture of heavy metal-free nanomaterials for use in displays, lighting, vertical farming, solar energy and bio-imaging.
