Jubilee Metals Group and Zambian Mopani Copper Mines form a JV for the Slag Project in Mufulira, targeting 13 Mt of historical slag with estimated copper and cobalt deposits.
The partnership aims to operationalize waste recovery, supporting Zambia’s broader mineral output goals and a sustainable green transition.
“This award by Mopani Copper Mines appointing Jubilee to execute the Slag Project on their behalf is a great honour,” said Jubilee Metals Group PLC CEO Leon Coetzer in a press release announcing the project, “[it] recognises Jubilee’s leading role in the development of metal extraction solutions from waste and overlooked materials.”
