Airbus extends partnership with TotalEnergies for sustainable aviation fuels

Airbus is extending a long-running association with TotalEnergies to address the challenges of decarbonising the aviation sector with sustainable aviation fuels.

The partnership is focused on the key role of sustainable aviation fuels, with their potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90% over their lifecycle compared to their fossil fuel equivalents.

In particular, the partnership is focussed on two main areas. One is the supply by TotalEnergies of sustainable aviation fuels for more than half of Airbus’ needs in Europe.

Avation PLC (LON:AVAP) is a commercial passenger aircraft leasing company owning a fleet of aircraft which it leases to airlines across the world. Avation’s future focus are new technology low CO2 emission aircraft.
