Aston Martin expands UK retail network with new luxury dealerships

Aston Martin is boosting its retail presence across the UK with a series of new landmark dealerships, aimed at enhancing its ultra-luxury automotive experience. The latest addition to the network is Aston Martin Birmingham, situated in Solihull, which has recently opened following a £10 million investment by Grange, part of the Cambria Automobiles group. This facility is close to Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Warwickshire and spans 1,204m², creating 30 new jobs in the area.

The Birmingham dealership offers a personalised experience with a dedicated “Q by Aston Martin” customer specification lounge. Clients can configure their vehicles digitally according to their preferences, while a showroom displays eight carefully selected Aston Martin models. Additionally, the facility includes a seven-bay aftersales service equipped with the latest technology to support ongoing vehicle maintenance.

This opening is part of a broader strategy to strengthen Aston Martin’s UK footprint. Earlier this year, Grange also opened a similar dealership in Edinburgh. Another expansion in the north of England saw the opening of a new 1,468m² dealership in Leeds, operated by JCT600. This Leeds facility is located at Brooklands and offers a display of ten Aston Martin models, an ultra-luxury lounge, and a nine-bay aftersales service, allowing customers to engage with personalised services such as a curated parts and accessories section.

The UK dealerships are among the first to embody Aston Martin’s new ultra-luxury vision, inspired by its flagship location, Q New York, situated on Park Avenue. In addition to these new openings, Aston Martin has welcomed the Marshall Motor Group into its UK dealer network. Marshall will operate from a dealership in Sevenoaks, representing the South East region. Plans for further developments across the UK dealer network are set to continue into 2024 and 2025.

Marco Mattiacci, Aston Martin’s Global Chief Brand & Commercial Officer, noted that these investments come at an ideal time as the brand launches its latest range of ultra-luxury and high-performance vehicles. These include the Vantage, DBX707, DB12, and V12 Vanquish models. The new UK dealerships reflect confidence in the brand’s evolving product line-up and are part of a broader strategy to grow Aston Martin’s presence in key markets.

The UK expansion forms part of Aston Martin’s wider global growth, with new showrooms planned for Baden-Baden, Nürnberg, Hamburg, and Prague by the end of 2024. In Asia, the company has recently reopened its Seoul dealership and opened a new location in Suwon, South Korea, further reinforcing its presence in the region.

These moves highlight Aston Martin’s ambition to maintain a strong position in the competitive ultra-luxury automotive market by expanding both its physical retail presence and its range of exclusive services.
