Avation PLC, a commercial passenger aircraft leasing company based in Singapore, has recently finalised a twelve-year lease agreement with Tokyo-based airline JCAS Airways Co Ltd. This agreement covers a new ATR 72-600 aircraft, marking the first of ten such planes that Avation ordered in May under a long-term contract with the manufacturer, ATR. Delivery of the aircraft is scheduled for October 2025, and it will be the first aircraft in the JCAS fleet.
Avation’s Chair, Jeff Chatfield, expressed satisfaction with this new partnership and emphasised the commitment to sustainability. Chatfield highlighted the environmental benefits of the ATR 72-600, an aircraft known for its low carbon emissions, and acknowledged the role this fleet expansion will play in improving connectivity across Japan’s many islands.
