Dialight plc (LON:DIA), the global leader in LED lighting for heavy industrial applications, has announced the appointment of Lynn Brubaker as an independent non-executive director, with effect from 1 July 2023. On appointment Lynn will become a member of the Audit, Nominations and Remuneration Committees, and will also become the nominated Workforce-Engagement NED.
Lynn is based in North America and has spent her executive career in the aerospace industry, most latterly as Vice President and General Manager of Commercial Aerospace at Honeywell International. Prior to that she held senior roles at Honeywell and at McDonnell Douglas / Boeing. Lynn is a non-executive director of FARO Technologies Inc, the US-listed 3-D measurement, imaging and realisation solutions provider for engineering, design and manufacturing processes, where she is also a member of the Audit Committee and chairs the Nominating, Governance & Sustainability Committee. Lynn has also held non-executive roles at: QinetiQ Group plc, the UK listed integrated global defence company focussed on mission-led innovation, Hexcel Corporation, the US listed high-end composites manufacturer supplying into the industrial, defence and aerospace sectors, and Nordham Group, one of the world’s largest independently owned aerospace companies.
Notice of Results
The Group now intends to publish its results for the six months ending 30 June 2023 on 25 September 2023. The new Board is undertaking a review of the Group’s key strategic focus areas and initiatives and the revised date will enable it to provide a more comprehensive update on these, alongside the Interim Results.
As highlighted at the AGM trading update in May, the Group expects the Lighting segment to deliver revenue growth in the first half of the year offset by a significant decline in Signal and Components revenue following the cyclical downturn in the opto-electronic market. As expected, the impact to H1 margins of the prior year supply chain disruptions will result in a depressed H1 trading performance relative to the prior year, with the outlook for FY23 being significantly second half weighted.
Neil Johnson, non-executive Chairman, commented:
“I am delighted to welcome Lynn to the board of Dialight. Her extensive board and C-suite experience, with an extensive knowledge of the US market will be valuable, particularly with her time spent within high-end manufacturing businesses across sector. Lynn will bring considerable strength to the Board at Dialight, as well as providing senior management and our employees, with a US-based non-executive presence.”
Lynn Brubaker, commented:
“I am very pleased to be joining Dialight and working alongside Neil and the rest of the Board. Dialight has established itself as a global leader in LED lighting, and there is a clear opportunity to drive the Group strategy and take the business to the next phase of its development.”
