First half revenue up in exciting times for manufacturer

Revenue has increased at a Knowsley-based manufacturer during the first half of its financial year, but pre-tax losses widened.

Surface Transforms, which manufactures carbon fibre reinforced ceramic materials, has posted a revenue of £2.8m for the six months to 30 June 2022, up from £1.2m in the first half of 2021.

Pre-tax losses went from £2.1m to £2.5m over the same period.

Surface Transforms plc (LON:SCE) are experts in the development and production of carbon-ceramic materials and the UK’s only manufacturer of carbon-ceramic brakes for automotive use.
