A 23-year-old battling a rare allergy to the cold has described how just stepping outside can cause dizziness, headaches and rashes.
Max Fisher, of Sherwood, was diagnosed with urticaria in 2009 which causes skin irritation, itchy welts and swelling when in contact with anything that is cold.
This time of year can be the most difficult for Max, who has to wear a face mask to prevent a reaction to the cold air.
The symptoms are triggered by any exposure to cold temperatures. This includes cold air, water, and even food and drink.
