Surface Transforms offers performance and cost benefits

Surface Transforms’ carbon ceramic brake discs deliver significant advantages over standard carbon ceramic options. The unique continuous carbon construction provides up to three times better heat conductivity, resulting in lower temperatures during heavy braking. This design also ensures increased durability and enhanced power compared to factory-fit alternatives. The improved friction consistency between the pads and discs enhances control, making it easier to manage braking, while reducing wear on brake pads.

These discs are particularly cost-effective when considering long-term ownership. They are approximately 50% cheaper than original carbon ceramic replacements and can be refurbished up to three times, offering a lifespan of 12,000 to 15,000 track miles. Designed to be compatible with existing brake calipers, Surface Transforms’ discs maintain the vehicle’s resale value, allowing the original carbon ceramic discs to be reinstalled when selling the car. The Surface Transforms discs can also be sold separately.

Surface Transforms’ discs are constructed from a unique 3D matrix of perpendicular long carbon fibre sheets, as opposed to the chopped fibre used in standard carbon ceramic brakes. This method results in a stronger, lighter material with better thermal conductivity. Testing has shown that Surface Transforms discs operate at temperatures around 100°C lower during heavy braking than competitor options. These discs are also lighter by up to 70% compared to cast-iron brakes, reducing unsprung mass and enhancing handling and performance. The reduced brake disc mass lowers inertia, improving braking distances and acceleration, making the car faster to both slow down and speed up.

Additionally, the production process for Surface Transforms discs ensures they are corrosion-free, generate less brake dust, and produce less CO2. Their unique carbon layering also reduces noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) during daily driving. Manufactured to the highest standards in the UK, these discs offer a premium performance upgrade for car enthusiasts.

Surface Transforms’ innovative carbon ceramic brake discs combine advanced technology with cost savings and enhanced performance, making them an excellent choice for anyone looking to optimise their vehicle’s braking system.
