Singapore-headquartered independent Valeura Energy is on track for first oil late in the second quarter from its Nong Yao field offshore Thailand.
The centrepiece of the project — T7 Global’s newbuild mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) TSeven Shirley — has departed its shipyard at Qing Dao, China and is now en route to the Nong Yao oilfield in the Gulf of Thailand.
On arrival, the MOPU will be connected to the pipeline that has been already installed from the existing Nong Yao field infrastructure, and it will serve as the wellhead production platform for Valeura’s Nong Yao C project.
Valeura Energy Inc (TSX:VLE) is an upstream oil & gas company, with a clear strategy to add value for shareholders. The Company has a strong balance sheet positioning it for potential inorganic growth opportunities in the near/medium-term, and substantial longer-term upside potential through an operated deep, tight gas play.
