World Biopolymers and Bioplastics Innovation

Hybrid Event | Berlin | Germany 1st -2nd March 2023

The primary factor driving the growth of the bioplastics and biopolymers market is the rapidly growing need to adopt environmental-friendly measures. Moreover, governments in various countries have introduced stringent government regulations, especially in Europe and North America, in order to boost the use of environmentally-friendly products. Bio-based plastics and polymers are gaining popularity as the end-use industries are upscaling the adoption of bio-based polymers. Apart from that, the growing need for environment-friendly and lightweight materials in manufacturing vehicle components is expected to bring ample growth opportunities for the bioplastics and biopolymers market.

Biome Technologies plc (LON:BIOM) Biome Bioplastics and Suregreen partnered to create biodegradable tree shelters. The Vigilis Bio tree shelters are made from biodegradable biomaterials and have specifically been designed to guard and protect the first 5-7 years of a tree’s life. They then slowly fragment into small pieces that completely biodegrade in the span of two years, leaving only CO2, water and a few naturally occurring minerals.
