The agreement between the American justice system and Daimler for Dieselgate is defined. A federal judge on Tuesday approved a $ 1.5 billion deal to close an undeclared software document that would allow more than 250,000 vehicles of the Frankfurt-based manufacturer in the United States to emit more diesel pollution.
The agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice and the California Atmospheric Board, announced in September, includes $ 875 million in civil fines under the Clean Air Act, an additional $ 70 million in fines and $ 546 million in the repatriation of polluting vehicles.
