As National Apprenticeship Week shines a spotlight on emerging talent, we’re introducing some of the bright minds shaping the future of Hercules. Their journeys offer a glimpse into the value of hands-on learning, career growth, and the unique opportunities that apprenticeships provide.
One apprentice shares how a passion for office experience led them to Hercules. Having previously worked for a science magazine, they sought a structured yet practical learning environment without the need for university. While uncertain about what to expect, they found the experience overwhelmingly positive. The warm and welcoming culture at Hercules exceeded their expectations, creating an ideal space for both personal and professional growth.
Balancing study with real-world work has been the most rewarding part of the apprenticeship. The structured programme, regular coaching, and the chance to connect with peers on a similar path make for a supportive and enriching journey. However, transitioning from school to a fast-paced workplace presented a learning curve. Finishing A-Levels in June and starting work in July meant adjusting quickly to a completely new environment.
