The soaring price of palladium, the preferred metal in the exhaust systems of hybrid electric vehicles, is good news for one of Russia’s biggest mining companies, Norilsk Nickel.
Over the past two months, palladium has risen by 18%, comfortably outperforming most other metals including its sister, platinum, which is also used in exhaust systems, but has risen by just 3%.
