Organised by Insider, these awards celebrate the region’s top manufacturing and engineering firms, highlighting their role in driving economic growth and innovation.
Now in its 13th year, the Made in the North East Awards honour businesses that have demonstrated excellence in both domestic and global markets. Tekmar Energy’s shortlisting reflects its continued success in delivering world-class subsea protection systems and engineering solutions to offshore energy markets across the globe.

An independent panel of industry experts carefully reviewed all entries before selecting the finalists. The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony on 13 March 2025 at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, where the region’s manufacturing excellence will be celebrated.
As a finalist, Tekmar Energy is also in contention for the Made in the UK Awards, a national showcase of British manufacturing talent set to take place in Liverpool on 19 June 2025.
