Marc Bell, the current managing director of Tekmar Energy, has been appointed chief operating officer at a crucial moment in the company’s growth trajectory. With nearly 25 years of experience, Bell brings extensive expertise in the global energy sector. A qualified mechanical engineer with a Master’s in Business Management from the University of Durham, he has held key roles in offshore wind and subsea industries. Prior to joining Tekmar, he worked in senior positions at JDR Cables, Siemens Gamesa, and Technip Umbilicals.
In his expanded role, Bell will also lead Pipeshield, further solidifying Tekmar’s operational strength. Chief Executive Richard Turner expressed confidence in Bell’s appointment, highlighting his instrumental role in Tekmar’s evolution into a market leader in cable protection technology. Under this contract, RYDER will deliver crucial engineering support for Nexans’ global offshore wind projects, including installation analysis and cable burial risk assessments. Turner emphasized that this agreement underscores Tekmar’s expertise and commitment to providing innovative, high-quality solutions that contribute to the success of Nexans’ projects worldwide.
