Momentum is building fast for Quadrise as it advances cutting-edge clean fuel trials across multiple continents. With key partnerships nearing execution and emissions regulations tightening, the company is now strategically placed to ride the global wave towards low-carbon energy.
Quadrise Plc is rapidly emerging as a leading force in sustainable fuels, demonstrating strong operational and commercial progress across its global initiatives. The company’s recent interim results reinforce a positive outlook, boosted by a £6.5 million fundraising round in January. This capital injection enhances Quadrise’s capacity to scale its proprietary bioMSAR and MSAR fuel technologies, which are increasingly seen as game-changers—particularly in the hard-to-decarbonise marine sector.
Preparations are now well advanced for one of the company’s flagship milestones: a full-scale operational trial of bioMSAR on MSC’s Leandra V vessel. The trial is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with groundwork underway at the MAC² terminal in Antwerp. Final agreements with logistics partner MAC² and global commodities leader Cargill are close to completion. The trial will include extensive performance testing aimed at securing a Letter of No Objection from Wärtsilä, a crucial endorsement from one of the industry’s top engine manufacturers. Simultaneously, Quadrise is progressing discussions with other shipping firms to expand use of the Antwerp supply hub.
In North Africa, the company is targeting a similarly high-impact trial with phosphate giant OCP at its Jorf Lasfar industrial complex. The trial, also set for Q2 2025, is part of a wider collaboration that could see MSAR deployed at additional OCP facilities. This initiative reflects Quadrise’s broader strategy of embedding its sustainable fuels in large-scale industrial and maritime operations around the globe.
Further afield, Quadrise is planning a trial with Sparkle Power SA in Panama on a 50MW power plant capable of consuming 100,000 tonnes of heavy fuel oil per year at full load. This follows promising MSAR test results on oil samples from Valkor in Utah, reinforcing the commercial potential for Quadrise fuels in the power generation sector across the Americas.
On the innovation front, recent testing of bioMSAR and its zero-carbon variant, bioMSAR Zero, has shown encouraging improvements in both efficiency and emissions reduction. bioMSAR Zero is on track for sea trials with Focus Motor Yachts, underscoring Quadrise’s leadership in next-generation marine fuels.
Research from Shore Capital highlights strong investor confidence, with analyst Tom Fraine citing an unmatched commercial case for Quadrise’s technologies. With a growing pipeline of partnerships, a scalable supply model, and a first-mover advantage in synthetic emulsified fuels, the company is aligning precisely with global decarbonisation imperatives.
