Quadrise has secured a pivotal step in its commercialisation journey, announcing an addendum to its Site Licence and Supply (SLS) agreement with Valkor Technologies. This milestone unlocks Quadrise’s first licence revenue stream, underpinned by Valkor’s achievement of US$15 million in project financing for its Primary Project Site (PPS) at Asphalt Ridge. With phased payments totalling US$1.5 million in 2025, this partnership solidifies Quadrise’s strategy to establish sustainable revenue while advancing its innovative fuel technologies.
Quadrise is poised to receive its first payment of US$350,000 by the end of January 2025, followed by US$650,000 in December 2025. Additional payments tied to the supply of equipment include US$200,000 for a 600bpd Multifuel Manufacturing Unit (MMU) and US$300,000 upon delivery of a larger 6,000bpd MMU. These units will enable flexible production capacity, accommodating expanded trial volumes and client needs. Complementing these one-off payments, Quadrise will earn recurring quarterly revenues of US$75,000 beginning April 2025, ensuring robust operational support for Valkor’s Utah operations. This steady income stream, covering services like engineering, process design, and compliance, underpins Quadrise’s commitment to long-term growth.
This agreement builds on an already strong foundation, granting Valkor exclusive rights to deploy Quadrise’s technologies at the PPS for producing MSAR and bioMSAR fuels. With drilling approvals secured, Valkor is accelerating its programme to establish mining and processing facilities in Utah’s oil-rich Uinta Basin, a region estimated to contain 77 billion barrels of recoverable oil. Quadrise’s innovative fuels align seamlessly with Valkor’s environmentally conscious operations, which employ low-carbon extraction methods to produce heavy sweet oil with a reduced carbon footprint.
Quadrise’s MSAR technology is calculated to deliver a 15–20% reduction in well-to-wake carbon intensity compared to conventional low-sulphur fuels. The production of bioMSAR, incorporating renewable glycerine or biofuel feedstocks, offers even greater emissions savings. This synergy underscores Quadrise’s broader strategy to decarbonise global shipping and industrial sectors.
The PPS’s strategic location in Utah supports distribution to local and regional markets, including industrial and power plants, as well as marine consumers on the US West and Gulf coasts. Together, Quadrise and Valkor are well-positioned to meet rising demand for cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.
