Quadrise PLC, a trailblazer in energy technology and the innovator behind MSAR emulsion fuel, is set to make waves in sustainable shipping. The company has announced its participation in Seastars, a visionary consortium advancing technologies to slash maritime greenhouse gas emissions and boost energy efficiency.
Quadrise’s inclusion in Seastars, short for Sustainable Emission Abatement Strategies & Technologies for Advanced Revolution Ships, marks a pivotal step in its commitment to a greener future. This EU-backed initiative unites 17 companies under the Horizon Grant agreement to develop marine solutions aimed at reducing well-to-wake greenhouse gas emissions by at least 30% and improving energy efficiency by 20%. At the core of this mission is Quadrise’s Blend-On-Board technology, which will play a critical role in shaping eight state-of-the-art vessel designs ready for market by December 2027.
The project not only focuses on vessel design but also extends its impact to the maritime industry by delivering bespoke decarbonisation strategies for ship owners and operators. By integrating innovative emission-reduction solutions across the shipping sector, Seastars aims to redefine sustainability benchmarks. Quadrise’s participation secures up to €63,500 in funding, reinforcing its position as a key enabler of transformative marine technologies.
