Alphawave Semi appoints new SVP Finance and CAO

Alphawave Semi, a global leader in high-speed connectivity and compute silicon for the world’s technology infrastructure, has appointed Sameer Ladiwala as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO). With over 25 years of financial management experience, Ladiwala brings extensive expertise, particularly in the semiconductor IP and chip sectors.

Before joining Alphawave Semi, Ladiwala served as CAO at Luminar Technologies, Arm, and Cypress Semiconductor, and as Assistant Corporate Controller at Intersil. His career also includes 12 years at PwC, where he worked closely with companies in the semiconductor and technology industries. During his career, Ladiwala has been involved in numerous mergers and acquisitions, with transactions ranging from $5 million to $10 billion. He has also participated in debt funding operations exceeding $2 billion and has substantial experience with accounting for complex transactions, such as long-term subscription and IP licensing revenue agreements valued at over $1 billion.

Rahul Mathur, Alphawave Semi’s CFO, highlighted Ladiwala’s rare blend of experience in both IP-focused and semiconductor product companies, emphasising that his skill set is particularly valuable for the company’s future growth strategies. The management team and Board of Directors are enthusiastic about Ladiwala’s addition to the team, believing he will significantly strengthen the company’s finance organisation.

Ladiwala will be based at Alphawave Semi’s Silicon Valley design headquarters in San Jose, California.
